We had a guest speaker come to our class to talk to us about Palestinians in Jerusalem. His name is Ayman. Here are my answers to his questions:

1-Give two examples of problems that palestinians face in jerusalem.
They face lots of problems and obstacles because of the Israelis, like throwing the garbage in front of the Palestinians homes and being so annoyed. Palestinians suffer a lot at check points to reach Al-Aqsa Mosque which used to take only 15 minutes and the Israelis allow few people to enter Al-Aqsa mosque.
2-Write about something that you learned about Jerusalem today that you didn’t know before.
Well, I didn’t know about the rules that the Israelis put to prevent entering Al-Aqsa Mosque (only people who are over 45 years old, married, and have kids can enter the mosque) and I didn’t know that Palestinians who live in Muslims hood have a Palestinian blue ID not an Israeli ID and that actually gave me lots of hope ![]()
3-What is your opinion about settlements?
Settlements are a shame,a steal, and a terror because they are built on a Palestinian land without an excuse or any agreement. The Israelis try to take our land by force and they keep building their houses on our land and at the end they expel Palestinians from their homes without anything to survive and finally they call Palestinians TERRORISTS!!
4-Has your opinion of palestinians outside the west bank changed?how?
In fact, yes lots. I used to think that Palestinians who live outside have a better life than we do,because they live on an occupied land with Israelis so they will have better streets, electricity, cars and other luxuries and because they can enter the Palestinian areas that we can’t visit. But now I realize that they are suffering more than us. They live in fear and bad moments but they stick on our land and that makes me love them more and appreciate them more,,,God bless all of us ![]()
